„Reaching for the stars together”

About us

We are a group of young students from Adlerka Secondary Vocational School participating in this year’s CanSat competition. Despite the fact that we are students with different interests and goals in life, we all came together to take on this challenge in pursuit of knowledge and new experiences. All of us are very excited to embark on our first-ever space-oriented project, initiated by the European Space Agency.

What is CanSat?

The CanSat competition is an initiative of the European Space Agency (ESA), in which high school students make a team of up to six people and build a satellite the size of a soda can. The project simulates the process of making a real-life satellite with all challenges and hardships included, on a small scale. It is a great way for students to gain hands-on experience in various fields such as programming, technology, design and more.

Our mission

As our objective, we have chosen the vast field of “Air pollution”. Measuring elements, such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide may not seem like a very important task to do, but these elements greatly affect our environment and us. Due to these facts, we are going to measure these elements and others that pollute our air. With the data collected, we want to determine the extent of the problem more accurately.
